Having qualified as a Play and Creative Arts Therapist in 2011 through Play Therapy UK (PTUK), I set up Play Therapy Glasgow. Over the years I have had the privilege of working with many children, young people and adults referred to me, either privately or through schools and various agencies.

Building on a natural affinity with children, I took the decision to leave paid employment and set up Play Therapy Glasgow to provide the parents, teachers and childcare providers of the West of Scotland with a warm, empathic and above all professional approach to helping children and young people with emotional and behavioural challenges.

As my practice developed, I completed other training and qualifications in Clay Therapy, Clinical Supervision and Intensive Filial Therapy.

My work in play and creative arts therapies is mostly working with the subconscious. Through parent consultations, I became aware of the effectiveness in using cognitive work to bring client’s thoughts, feelings and behaviours into focus. I went on to train through ACT Counselling Services and qualified as a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist.

Recognising the importance of early intervention, I also work as a Baby Bonding Practitioner, empowering parents and carers to develop secure relationships with their babies.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and comply with their ethical framework.
